As if we didn’t have enough reasons to visit Lodhi Garden anyway—the amazing running tracks, national bonsai park, bamboo garden, butterfly zone, herbal garden, lotus and lily pond, peacock hatchery and the tallest {35.5 m} tree in Delhi called ‘Buddha Coconut’— we’re going to have a lot more to look forward to.
Mail Today reported that the NDMC has a lot planned for the beautiful picnic spot, and almost everything on the list of changes comes from early morning jogger’s wish lists. The plan is to include shower facilities, better paths, and signages for the monuments.
Since diplomats and expatriates love the area, NDMC also plans to publicise the area {as told to Mail Today}. There are plans to construct jacuzzis, a zen hut and acupressure pathways. More fruit and flower trees are also going to be planted.
So don’t be surprised when you go next time, and find yourself more enamoured than ever.
