What Makes It Awesome?

Here's what's nice about restaurants in G-Town, there's something for everyone. And it's not broken into stand-alone and food courts, what I mean is, even a small budget eatery is actually a cosy, pretty and comfy establishment.

The all-new Lub Lub Lebanese outlet at 32nd Avenue is just that, airy, neat, small but sufficient. Even though we're big on home delivering their food, mainly because it comes hot and perfect, sometimes you want a Shawarma just off the grill. The cafe has an open kitchen manned by quick and efficient staff members who will be happy to recommend a dish or explain the components so your order is just what you wanted to have.

The menu is essentially Lebanese with true to authentic flavours in most dishes, some may have a bit of a spice element to suit our palates and I think that's a wise move. The portions versus price points are in perfect balance, good value for money for delicious, fresh food. They have 9" Lubs (shawarma rolls) and 6" for kids. Our favourite is the lamb one though, to be honest, the Falafel is done very well too. The Falafel are moist and flavoursome, you could have them in a sandwich or as starters, where they are served with adequate sides. In fact, if you choose from the platters, it's quite a meal. The choice of platters is Chicken, Lamb, Falafel and Paneer, think juicy meats paired with two dips (the hummus is exquisite), a small portion of Fattoush Salad, loads of pita and classic Mediterranean Pickled Veggies.

Even though the platters are the largest spread on the menu, I found the Pita Pockets more filling, whether you chose vegetarian or non-vegetarian, the added veggies and dips make for a nice big moist sandwich.

They have also introduced Rice Bowls, knowing well, how much we love our rice. Between Chicken, Lamb and Paneer, I loved the Chicken Rice Bowl the most, there is something faintly Butter Chicken like about it but not exactly. That familiarity coupled with a whole new flavour profile, makes the new rice bowls our current favourites on the Lub Lub menu. Pair your meals here with their new beverage menu for summer, the 'Lickvid' menu is mostly fresh, with few syrups added in to make delicious summer coolers, don't miss the Watermelon and the Blueberry Lemonades.

A few desserts on the menu would be ideal.
