Bollywood celebrities are loved for how they dress (nowadays much more than their movies, in my opinion). We're constantly searching for the (non-sponsored) brands they sport, and after scouring on the internet, here are some of our cooler finds. The best bit, though, is that you can shop these online from the comfort of your home!
Shop Like A Star: 5 Indie Brands Spotted On Celebrities To Elevate Your Wardrobe
Khara Kapas
Khara Kapas (read pure cotton) is a sustainable clothing brand promoting minimalism and ethically made clothes. Started by stylist-turned-designer Shilpi Yadav, they aim to return to traditional Indian roots with a dash of contemporary style. Their designs are simple yet elegant, focussing on handloom cotton and handcrafted details.
Guapa
This contemporary brand offers a range of clothing for women. They focus on creating versatile outfits that can be dressed up or down (perfect for vacays, btw). You'll spot dresses, co-ords, tops, pants, swimwear and accessories. They use a wide variety of materials —organza, chiffon, satin, crepe—to create easy silhouettes for your body. While most of their sizes range from XS to XL, you can also get them in a customized size.
Masaba
Masaba, as we all know, is a popular designer brand that celebrates quirky prints, edgy designs and contemporary silhouettes. They offer a wide range of women's clothing and accessories, which includes sarees, kurtas, lehengas, palazzo sets and even sweatshirts in materials like raw silk, chanderi, brocade, georgette and more. The designs are often inspired by traditional Indian culture with a modern twist.
Chandrima
We found Chandrima's designs to be quite intricate with a lot of attention to detail. They focus on traditional Indian textiles and embroidery. You'll spot plazzos, crop tops, sarees, jackets, all made to be the statement pieces of your wardrobe. From what we could check, they work with chanderi, cotton, linen, silk with embroidery on almost all of them. The sizes start from XS and go up to 3XL.
Saaksha and Kinni
A fashion label that is an ode to Indian textiles, bold prints and embroidery, we love how well this brand does satin and silk shirts. As a brand, comfort and wearability are two major focus points. They've designed embroidery swatches for leading design labels like Ellie Saab, Balmain and Armani, you can trust Saaksha & Kinni to nail modern and current trends. While we love the luxe boho look they do so well, we're giving extra love to their shirts and blouses. With abstract prints, geometric ones and in a host of colours—told you it's boho—they make it easy to shop because they come in sets. Pick from trousers, shorts, skirts, dresses, gowns and more.
