Macarons, Zucchini Cake Or Madeleines, We Love The Baked Goodies At A Piece Of Paris

Parisian chic, white wood, striped panel walls, a view of the ‘Eiffel Tower’ and the aroma of baked goodies – welcome to A Piece Of Paris, a new bakery in Gurgaon.

A Piece of Paris is run by Sonal who fell in love with macarons during her time in Paris; her menu maybe small but its macaron-heavy. We loved both the Lemon and the Red Velvet ones, but Sonal is happy to whip them up in unique flavours with icing on top, for special occasions. In fact, she does a lot of customised baking for corporate orders and birthdays/anniversaries {we love that these cakes are topped with macarons, not cherries!}.

For a quick break, pack the macarons and get yourself a cup of coffee with a couple of madeleines. They also have Chocolate Chilli Cake and Zucchini Cake, available as mini loaves or full-size cakes. We honestly didn’t realise that chilli works pretty much anywhere until we had a bite of the Chocolate Chilli cake.

Pair your Italian-style cappuccino {or hazelnut cappuccino} with a French-style madeleine and a side of India-inspired Fig Chutney.
