One of our favourite malls in town, DLF Promenade, is giving us another reason to drop by over the weekend. Our everyday pink lipstick is almost over, and we’ve heard enough about the wonders of a good primer. So, we’re catching our make-up savvy friend and hitting the first Smashbox outlet in the mall. We’re hoping they’ll be able to keep our budget under check and make sure that we’re picking right according to our skin tone {or whatever else it is that really matters for eyeshadow palettes}.
Meanwhile, we can tell you a bit about Smashbox’s legendary history. The brand is actually one of the first to have been born out of a photo studio in LA. A lot of photographers, make-up artists and models would rely on the brand’s make-up supplies to make sure they looked like a million bucks on the camera. In keeping with these long and hectic costume changes, it was made to stay in place for hours.
Studio looks aside, we’re digging their love for colours at the new store. A visit has been planned to lay our hands on their waterproof eyeliner and hyperlash mascara. If all goes well with our super sensitive skin, the hydrating foundation and lip and cheek colour sticks are going to be next on our to-buy list.
P.S. Don’t forget to grab a Cinnabon on your way out of Promenade and if you’re lucky, you might just be in time for the sales as well.
