Given the number of stray cows in India, this institution is much needed. Run by the Jain Samaj and recognised by the Animal Welfare Board of India, Manav Gou Sadan aims to provide shelter to sick, injured, ill-health, unproductive and stray cows. They do a lot of work to ensure there’s no cruelty against cows and also provide medical aid.
