A plate of potato fries will continue to rule our hearts when it comes to snacking. Try our version of Smoked Fries with a pack of McCain French Fries. Coat them in a slurry of 1 tablespoon of corn flour and water, fry for 4 minutes in hot oil. Separately, saute some garlic (until golden) and onion (till it’s translucent) in a pan of with some oil and butter. Add 1 tablespoon each of BBQ sauce and salsa sauce, along with salt, red chilli flakes and black pepper for taste. Add the fries, quarter teaspoon of freshly crushed sage and toss the ingredients together. Finally, place them on a plate, garnish with grated cheese and serve hot.

Szechwan FTW!

Hot and spicy, these chilli garlic bites with McCain potato pops are perfect to add a zing to any party. Deep fry a bag of these potato pops for 3 minutes. In a separate wok, heat some oil, add garlic, onion and ginger, and saute well. Add a dash of soya sauce, tomato ketchup and the szechwan sauce, and mix well. Finally add the potato pops and toss well. Sprinkle some finely chopped spring onion for a crunchy affair and serve hot.

Potato Canapes, Anyone?

Potatoes topped with fresh cream cheese have to be the ultimate party delight. Take a pack of McCain potato pops and deep fry for about 3 minutes, and keep aside to cool. In a separate bowl, add 1 tablespoon each of finely chopped onion, tomato, cucumber, coriander leaves with a pinch of green chilli along with salt and lemon juice as per taste. Beat the hung curd well till it becomes smooth in consistency and mix some salt in it.

Take each of the cooled potato pop and press with the base of your palm to form a disk. Arrange them on a platter and sprinkle cajun seasoning, add a dollop of hung curd and top with the veggie mix in the centre of it (take a cue from the above picture). You can sprinkle some tamarind chutney for a punch!
