What Makes It Awesome

Now that it’s out with the lipstick and in with the chic masks, might as well set trends and be safe while doing so! Bangalore brand Micki Masks is part of Breathe.Inc, and has over six patterns of masks you can pick. I tried one to start with, and now have a full collection of practically all the patterns, and sizes too! Apart from being made from bio-organic, 3-ply cotton, these ones are snug but don’t feel like they’re obstructing anything at all. Lightweight, and easy to use even when you’re active, I really like that the masks don’t lose shape after washing. They’re reusable, and can be washed for up to 75 times. I am on about 25 washes, and still happy with the fit. Large, medium and small sizes available, with the small being for kids. Yes, I tried, and it’s perfect. It’s got elastic that goes around the ear so no hassle of tying. I have used these when brisk walking and jogging, and I find it easy enough to breathe in.

My favourite patterns are the Forest and the camouflage collection. Especially my army green with roses on them that makes me feel like what I assume Lara Croft would feel like! There’s also a bright Ikebana orange that I wear on weekends for that holiday feel, while my mother prefers the pastel baby blue roses. The nerd dad wears masks from the Big Bang collection, which has formulae all over it, and makes him feel and look clever, it appears!

They cost INR 199 each, but the more you add to cart, the lesser the price is. I ordered five and ended up saying just INR 135 for each (within Bangalore).

Pro-Tip

Parents, the kids size is tried and tested, as is better for those perhaps aged 5 and up as they’re not toddler masks.
