CP lies in the heart of Delhi and is a hub for eating, shopping and partying in Central Delhi. There is an endless list of restaurants, cafes and bars to check out. But CP is more than that.

Palika Bazaar

It is an underground market located in CP. You can score amazing boots, jackets, coats and t shirts. Though slightly shady, you'll also locate shops that sell sex toys here. A bunch of stores here also sell utility gadgets like earphones, power banks, USBs etc for affordable rates, but we recommend that you thoroughly check them before buying.  

Janpath

Janpath is famous for its Tibetan market and its Gujrati market. You will find cheap home decor and wall paintings in the Tibetan market, while if you are looking for handcrafted and hand embroidered items like bags, clothes, stoles, etc. Gujarati market is the place to be.

Shankar Market

Shankar market is the place to be if you are looking to buy different fabric and cloth materials by the metre. There are a number of shops selling fabrics at amazing prices. This market also has readymade and semi-stitched suit pieces.

    Rajiv Gandhi Handicrafts Bhawan

    Rajiv Gandhi Handicrafts Bhawan is a state emporium with different states of India coming together in one place to sell their local handicrafts and goods.You'll find a range of products here including but not limited to Madhubani paintings, Pashmina shawls, wood carvings, Kutch embroidered work and exotic Darjeeling tea.

    Cottage Emporium

    The Cottage Emporium brings together different cultural handicraft traditions of India that are inspired by mythology and local folklore. They also keep having exhibitions and events on their premises, so if you are lucky enough you can catch one of the events as well.

    Hanuman Mandir

    It is a temple believed to be there since the time of the Pandavas. Behind it is a small market that you can explore after you have visited the temple. The market has vendors selling bangles, bindis and hair accessories. The rows and rows of bangles make for a colourful treat to the eyes.

      BKS Subway

      The Baba Kharak Singh Marg Subway is a cool spot to have a gypsy market. You can get skirts, saris, junk jewellery, kurtas and dupattas. It also has handicraft items that have been made and painted by tribal communities. All this and more in a subway!

        Flower Market

        This flower market in CP has local, Indian and international flowers to shop from. You'll find photographers here trying to get the perfect shot for the gram because flowers amke everything look pretty. This market opens at 4am, and is one of those places you can visit if you are having an all night adventure.

          Khan market is one of the most expensive retail destinations not only in Delhi but in the whole of India. It has a number of eating places along with designer boutiques, sustainable labels, bookstores, home decor stores and cosmetic stores.

            HERITAGE

            Agrasen Ki Baoli

            Agrasen Ki Baoli is a 14th century structure attributed to the legendary Maharaja Agrasen to whom the Agarwal community owes its origins to. Despite being located right in the heart of Delhi, it does not abide with the chaos and you can come here with a book or headphones and chill.

            Jantar Mantar

            It is one of the five observatories built by Maharaja Jai Singh of Jaipur. Most of the instruments here have an astronomical purpose. This is a great place to geek out as it perfectly blends history and science together.

            National War Memorial

            The National War Memorial in the India Gate complex has been constructed to honour the heroes of our armed forces who sacrificed their life in the military operations post 1947. When here you can also go for boating near India Gate or grab some ice cream and cotton candy.

            Gurudwara Bangla Sahib

            It is one of the most revered holy places for Sikhs from around the world, built for the 8th Sikh Guru - Guru Har Krishan. Its water tank is believed to have healing properties. If you do happen to visit this place, stay for the langar

            Rashtrapati Bhawan

            Built by the British as the Viceroy's residence, it is where the President lives today. You shouldn't miss the change of guards ceremony that happens here. Also, Rashtrapati Bhawan's beautiful Mughal gardens are thrown open to the public in spring, so make sure to not miss that.

            Mandi House

            It is the theatre hub of the capital. If you are someone who is even remotely interested in theatre and plays, go to Mandi House to watch a play. Some or the other play is always being performed. Hey, here's an offbeat date idea!

            Dhoomimal Art Centre

            It is a third generation art gallery started in 1937 by Ram Babu in order to promote the work of artists who are slowly forgotten in time ad are relatively lesser known. Art galleries are also very quiet in nature so they provide an escape from the noise of the city.
