Combing through the lanes of Hauz Khas Village (HKV), we chanced upon this little corner store called Nasty Small Room that designs vintage-inspired dresses, jackets, skirts, tops, jumpsuits, overlays, and more for women and we were instantly hooked.
The store (adjacent to Nappa Dori) is set up in hues of grey and beige and combined with the warm lighting, it puts the entire focus on the clothes on display. Coming to the clothes, designer Aman Bajaj has primarily used natural fabrics like cotton and linen, but the silhouettes are all western. The pieces at Nasty Small Room mostly follow a minimalist design language but since it's all vintage-inspired, you'll also find a few edgy pieces at the store. The patchwork blazer (INR 6,000) was our personal favourite.
Nasty Small Room's ethnic-ish dresses are also something worth checking out. The white and natural tones look extremely elegant and the breezy dresses are perfect for a day-outing. Prices for the dresses at Nasty Small Room start at INR 2,800.
It is open from 11:30 AM - 8 PM on all days and IIT is the nearest metro station.
