What Is It?

With a nip in the air, pleasant breeze, and a somewhat hazy sky (which has become a common sight in Delhi nowadays), I trotted off to my favourite place.

Dastkar Nature Bazaar, Andheria Modh, New Delhi, is back with another one of its fabulous exhibitions of Indian handlooms and crafts. It started on November 15 and will go on till November 26. This time the theme is Nature and the exhibition showcases absolutely exotic and mesmerising collection of handlooms and textiles - from shawls, sarees, stoles, woollens, rugs, and home linen to an interesting mix of arts and crafts. The collection is a delight to the senses.

The unusual grass and bark garden accessories stole my heart. The ceramic planter, jewellery, and home collectables were another show stealer. Intricate wood carvings in the shapes of towering mountains and hills were yet another thing that caught my eye.

Natural products, artisanal chocolates, herbs and preserves, healthy snacks, and beauty products will make you pause and fill up your shopping bags.

This weather also preps up your appetite for yummy food, so you can give a treat to your taste buds at their food stalls which serve some lip-smacking food.

All in all, I spent a great day shopping and eating at this beautifully done up venue.

What Could Be Better?

I always say the same thing.... parking.
