The Bowl Factory opened its doors at Rodeo Drive this week, making miso happy!

Udon Own Me

The Bowl Factory’s menu is a curated selection of local dishes and authentic flavours. Not scared of experimenting, they also have fun fusions in addition to the favoured classics. Along with the dim sums and skewers, they also do asian rolls, tempura and Bahn Mis. The best bit? Breaking away from the tradition of great Asian restaurants, a meal at The Bowl Company is actually really reasonable. We love that they understand our need for oodles and oodles of noodles at pocket-friendly prices.

With cool, factory-inspired decor, funky and funny art, this place maintains a welcoming and unpretentious vibe. The lack of mainstream pop music is a welcome change. If you want delicious, authentic Asian food with fun, off-beat flavours and none of the ostentation, this is the place to go.

Bahn Mi Maybe

We tried out their BYOB with Udon Noodles, Chilli Basil sauce and selected veggies, Lemongrass flavoured Chicken Skewers {which actually come satay-ed on a stick of lemongrass!} and Laotian Raw Papaya Salad because thats how we roll. The roll actually has a mango reduction to complement it and it is amazing. Unfortunately, the Bahn Mis were not available so we guess we’ll just have to go back another time to try those.

These guys don’t stock standard beverages but, instead, believe in going healthy so what they have to offer are Raw’s cold-pressed juices. They also plan on introducing a range of green teas {what Asian food’s real companion was meant to be} and other fresh drinks to the menu soon.

The real cilantro on top is that The Bowl Factory is opening another outlet in Galleria, on the first floor by next month! With their great food, adorable seating and Theobroma to follow, we can’t wait for August.

So We're Saying...

They will have deliveries up and running food in a few weeks so that you never have a boring meal again. Until then, we highly recommend that you make the trip to Rodeo Drive and try The Bowl Factory’s food.
