Just when we thought we had the option of sitting back and calling it an early night on a weekend, more and more new places to eat, drink and dance and then eat some more, spring up in Delhi. Things to do on the weekend? Go somewhere you've never been before.

Here's what's new in town |

PANGAEA | The Ashoka

Pangaea

Popular for being Singapore's favorite nightclub, a decadently decorated Pangaea replaced F-bar in Delhi's Ashoka Hotel earlier this month. With super-expensive luxury tables, enough space to accommodate 400 people, two long bars and a good resident DJ, it's a great after-hours club for the weekend {can shut early on Fridays}. The drinks aren't exorbitantly priced, although their might be a slight price difference between the two bars! Courtesy the INR 1500 entry charges {no cover}, the crowd doesn't get shady, although that doesn't keep a younger crowd outside. The first artist they're bringing to town is the much loved Kaskade, and we're hoping for many more to come.

FIO- COOKHOUSE & BAR | Nehru Place

FIO

FIO opens another branch - and this one comes in a stylish, slick and hip new avataar. Set up in a sprawling space in Nehru Place's Epicuria Mall, the restaurant is beautifully done up - steel grey shelves filled with potted plants, antiques and other paraphernalia,  sleek furniture, a marble top bar area et. all. The menu has plenty for any gourmand to choose from - a mix of pastas, risottos, pizzas, salads, starters and mains. It was interesting to see Indian food in the midst of a fairly continental menu - not sure how this fits in, but we chose to stick to their continental offerings. We ordered the spit fired grilled chicken, a duet of smoked salmon salad, and a smoked chicken, zucchini, red onion and cilantro pizza. The portion size is big enough to share amongst three people, and the food is fresh, elegantly presented, and tastes great. The service is commendable as well! The winner for us was the dessert - tiramisu in mason jars and a delightful chocolate flan. We'd recommend this for a casual night out with friends and family. And when it rains, book a window side table for a date.

NUTRITIOUS NATION | Greater Kailash II

nutritious nationNutritious Nation has made it to LBBD before, and ironically so on a 'Just Desserts: GK II Edition' post. The healthy shakes, though we're sure are incredibly well constructed for those watching their waist, are delicious! But we made another trip to dig into their food menu. First and foremost, this is a weight watcher's mini-paradise. Everything on the menu has its calorie content and break-down of carbs, protein, fat etc given. Whether you give two hoots about what the scale shows or not, the food at Nutritious is lip-smacking good. From multigrain sandwiches and burgers {try the snappy soy and tuna delight}, to wraps, and salads of course {we recommend the vegan garden}, the menu has plenty for you to choose from. Top your order off with a signature high-protein shake, and you're good to go. Note - There's no place to sit or stand - take away only.

Where | M 45, Main Market, GK II

Meal for two | INR 1000 {approx.}

Guppy by Ai & DIVA Kitsch opened their doors recently as well. LBBD recommendations from their menu, coming soon!
