Devan's - Roasters for three generations - Established in 1962, it's the only craft antique company in the coffee industry. The legendary store in Khanna Market has recently undergone a renovation giving it a swish look. Renowned for selling freshly roasted coffee beans and powder, it has expanded and finally opened a coffee bar.
Started by D Vasudevan after he left the Coffee Board of India, the legacy was taken forward, till recently, by his son, Keshav Dev. It is Vasudevan’s grandson, Siddhant Keshav, who is giving Devan’s a modern twist while keeping its legacy intact.
Worked and trained in coffee shops in Vienna and other European cities, he enjoys being a Barista - churning out cappuccinos, lattes, and espressos. The coffee bar, Siddhant explains, has been designed as an experiential space rather than just a café. “I want people to see how coffees are brewed and learn about the coffee before buying their single origins or blends of coffees”. The store is equipped with various types of coffee makers and gift packs. Devan’s is a one-stop for all things coffee and tea.
Long before the newer brands in the market started roasting and grinding their beans, Devan’s was THE place to score rich, authentic coffee, and now, this little coffee bar can seat about 9-10 people who can enjoy freshly roasted, freshly ground, and freshly brewed coffees.
