Lowdown On The Ambience
As you enter Madras Hotel, the not so fancy interiors might compel you to reconsider. Don’t worry; it may be a congested place with limited space, but the food more than compensates. Think of it as a street food outlet, but with air conditioning.
Visiting here after almost 13 years, it was overwhelming to see that it had stood strong and survived the test of time, and competition.
What’s On The Menu?
The USP of the place is their food, and they know how to do it right. I would recommend you try the Dal Vada. I also ordered the Rava Masala Dosa. For the price it came at, the portion size is absolute value for money. It was crisp, adequately stuffed with masala and was served with equally good sambhar. And even though I don’t like curd, I still tried their curd rice, and wasn’t disappointed at all.
You should try their buttermilk, instead of the regular aerated beverages.
Service FTW
The ice cubes in the fresh lime soda did not appear to be clean and on request they were immediately replaced. Nevertheless, the service here is really prompt, and the staff is courteous. The prices are more than halfway decent, too.
