A wok to remember
From soups, dim sums and chilli chicken in a basket, to prawns in butter garlic sauce and duck pancakes, The Woks at The Lalit along with chef Sudarshan {who was also the chef when The Noble House was in operation} is celebrating its older restaurant.
We started with a small bowl of highly-addictive pumpkin crackers served with chilli dips, and soon moved on to dim sums {vegetable, chicken and prawn} which had the thinnest translucent covering. Amongst the starters, the Chicken Basket was our favourite- succulent bits of chilli chicken served in a tart-like basket, on a small bed of mashed potatoes.
The main course comprised duck pancakes served with hoisin sauce and plum sauce, prawns in a creamy butter garlic sauce {we hear this is a favourite with the Suris} and chilli garlic prawns. Everything was well-spiced and had us stuffing ourselves long after we were full.
Dessert entailed crispy date pancakes and toffee apple served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which was all good but can be given a miss.
