Chaatwalas there are a plenty in Brahmaputra market but we’re going to root for Parmod {not Pramod} Chaat And Caterers.

The Stuffing Of Dreams

Aloo tikki is our favourite comfort food in winter {what soups?}. So after a bout of cheap pyjama shopping at Brahmaputra complex, we found ourselves at Parmod and our diet plans might be staring at us, but we have no regrets.

The Parmod boys begin by flattening the tikki out and frying it perfectly. They also throw in a generous amount of curd, chutneys and sliced raw onions on top, but what really adds that special something to this roadside wonder are the chunks of papri that are a fitting foil to the soft tikki centre that’s stuffed with a mysterious masala.

PS: The stall takes catering orders for parties and customises the menu with bhatura chola, tikkis or whatever you decide. Do drop by if you’re in the area and you’re feeling rather broke – the tikki costs INR 30 and the gol gappa {the water’s yum}, INR 40.
