A three month old eatery, POPO Lafing in Satya Niketan is whipping up our favourite Tibetan street food that’s both affordable and so very appetising. South campus peeps, here’s a new place that you need to check out.

We're Lafing It

For the uninitiated, lafing is a spicy cold jelly noodle dish made with moong dal starch or maida, soya bean chunks, soy sauce and chilli {lots of it}. Most of us have had our first bowl of lafing in Majnu Ka Tila and wouldn’t it if be nice if we had more such places in Delhi offering this spicy soup-y goodness? Good news, the cubby eatery POPO Lafing offers just that. We know their name sounds funny but they’ve got some stellar dishes you’ll go back home thinking about.

They have a limited menu with items like Lafing Gravy Noodles, Lafing Dry Rolls, Lafing Mung Bean Nooodles and Spicy Noodles but they nail every single dish that they offer. We like our Lafing soup-y {and with a lot of chilli} but you can opt for the dry one too that costs INR 50 only. These jelly noodles are very light and refreshing, and make for the perfect in-between lecture snack.

At any point during the day, you’d find this place crowded, which is a pretty reliable indicator of how loved POPO Lafing’s dishes are.

So, We're Saying...

POPO Lafing ticks all the right boxes, it’s pocket-friendly, yum and the service here is prompt. No reason why shouldn’t drop by with your gang after, before or during college {no judgement} for a quick bite.
