What Makes It Awesome

Nritya Shakti, a famous dance studio based out of Mumbai, has been conducting fun and interactive online dance classes during this Covid-19 pandemic and our dancer friends can't stop raving about them.

All their online dance classes are conducted by an experienced faculty - for instance, Kshamata Surve has six years of professional dancing experience and teaches jazz-funk, while Pia Sutaria, who teaches beginners ballet, has trained in classical ballet for 18 years - and they teach dance forms like streets choreography, contemporary, house, kathak, locking, Latin fusion, and whacking. Nritya Shakti's faculty page lists out the syllabus of each class alongside a bio on each faculty member and we think this helps in making a truly informed decision.

Nritya Shakti's online dance classes are conducted over Zoom and each class is of 1 hour 15 minutes with 1 hour dedicated to teaching and the last 15 minutes dedicated to answering our questions. They offer three class packages - drop-in (INR 400), five classes (INR 1,770), and 10 classes (INR 3,245) - and the sign-up process on their website is pretty straightforward, as well. We just need to fill a form, make the payment, and wait for the Zoom link that comes 45 minutes before the scheduled class.

Pro-Tip

Each online dance class at Nritya Shakti has a capacity of 10 students only, so we recommend signing up quickly lest the spots fill up (and given the popularity of the classes, that does tend to happen).
