Want to chill with bae without a formal candlelight set-up? Try Nukkad Cafe in SDA that’s the right mix of cosy and buzzing.

Right By The Corner

A kitschy, DDLJ spin on a classy Mehrauli spot, don’t go to Nukkad expecting a fancy pants menu with avocados and asparagus.

While the usual Dilli fare with the likes of momo, Maggie and pakoras taste amazing, we were honestly a bit taken aback by the prices {a place that charges around INR 245 for veg momo shatters our assumption of SDA places falling well within IIT students and our stingy pockets}.

Good Times Don’t Come Cheap

Heading here straight after work, we were starving and ordered lots of grub including mocktails, kebabs, cutlets, idlis, brownie shakes and more.

The masala bunta was a kick stronger than our poor throat could take but if you dig zingy, it’ll be right up your alley. The crispy idlis, fried to perfection and dunked in dahi and chutneys was a runway star just like the railway cutlets.

The keema pao and mutton kebabs lived up to the challenge as well. But special marks for the brownie and Nutella shake that had a crumbly brownie sip after sip.

Cutting The Big Story Short

The portions here are small-ish, but on the brighter side, that let’s you sample a lot more.

Nukkad hosts live gigs and has an indoor area with fluffy, bright cushions and woody interiors but you’ll probably find us outdoors, puffing away at the hookah and reliving college life…
