For the days when we have to slip to a movie or a date right after work but cannot bear the pain of going back home, we took a trip to an H&M store to stock up on some work-to-night outfit hacks. We had a brilliant time, and here are some fun, travel-friendly and super convenient looks we came up with.

Sport A Short Skirt

A plain brown short skirt like this one would fit right into your bag; you can safely replace your work pants with these. Tuck in your shirt, and you’re good to go!

Preppy, anyone? Add these classic {and not painful} pair of black shoes to your wardrobe, too.

Throw On A Kimono

If you have a plain black jersey dress {INR 799} like this one for work, throw on this warm asymmetrical kimono to add to the look. You can also just carry this cute blouse with a bow in your bag, and wear it on top of the dress. That helps you instantly change your look whenever you want, and also turns the dress into a two-piece outfit.

You can also add some accessories, like those leaf earrings {INR 699}, to the outfit.

Cover With A Cardigan

Slip into this grey cardigan and plain-white shirt for a subtle date night. You can also add a classic pair of heels to the mix, in case you’re planning a visit to the bar later.

Don a Swishy Skirt

We loved this long-striped skirt by H&M; chuck the blue jeans and slip into this basic black tee {INR 399} as soon as the clock hits 7pm. For a pro tip, if you roll the skirt {INR 3,999} up and put it in your work bag, it’ll save up on plenty of your space.

PS: The twirling this is only half the fun.

We’d Wear Them At: Salsa night {eating or dancing, you name it}
