Olive Bar & Kitchen Is Kicking Summer's Butt With Their New Menu

One of Delhi’s first fine dine restaurants and probably one of the most romantic too, Olive is known for introducing interesting offerings to its menu. And, the new Summer menu by chef Sujan S is just what you needed to feel better in this Delhi summer.

These two words define the dishes on the menu perfectly. Sujan Sarkar is the mastermind behind these dishes and each offering is plated like art. The ingredients used are authentic and fresh; and most of them are also native to the origin of the dishes.

We started with the Burrata Heart, a preparation of buttery cheese from the core of burrata, served with pressed tomato terrine, heirloom tomatoes and chunky blood orange and tomato granite, and can easily say that each flavour of the dish is meant to combat the heat.

Next up came an array of dishes such as the soufflé, the Indian ocean octopus, slow baked parsnip & zucchini pave, and the duck liver parfait. Each dish was packed with fresh flavours and made it really hard for us to choose a favourite. But, we still think the duck liver parfait and Indian Ocean Octopus are two dishes you should not miss. All of them also make for superb Instagram shots, especially the soufflé {think slow-mo video}.

For those with a sweet tooth, the vanilla semifreddo with mangoes, pave of Valrhona chocolate and caramel popcorn panna cotta are a good way to kick summer’s butt {the weather, not the direwolf}.

Among the drinks served, we absolutely loved the Avalanche and we’re sure you’ll love it too. The minty flavour and the crushed ice are just the thing you need on a hot, hot day.
