Delhi Drawing Room is a community of art enthusiasts who are conducting online painting and sketching workshops during this COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative began in Mumbai (Bombay Drawing Room) with the idea of hosting art parties, but since the lockdown happened, they have brought it all online and the workshops have been a huge success - both in terms of skill-building and their therapeutic effects.
The folks at Drawing Room host a workshop each day and they're ideal for beginners, amateurs, and non-painters. The workshops are conducted for two age-groups mainly - adults (13+) and kids (4+), and they follow different themes and techniques like finger painting, coffee painting, pen sketching, hummingbirds painting, Van Gogh's Starry Night, shimmering Santorini painting, and more. All the sessions here are hosted by artists who’ve majored in art, or at least have been painting for five to six years. During each workshop (two hours long), the artists will guide you at every step, and looking at all the pictures we’ve seen on Delhi Drawing Room and Bombay Drawing Room's Instagram page, we’re pretty sure that you’ll be impressed.
You can sign up for these workshops through the links in their IG bios (@delhidrawingroom and @bombaydrawingroom). While the kids' workshops are priced at INR 399, workshops for adults are priced at INR 499.
