What Is It?

Open Frame Film Festival is an annual film festival hosted by Public Service Broadcasting Trust. It showcases films related to human rights, livelihood, environment, feminism and development to conflict, diversity and politics.

Who Is It For?

If you’re a film enthusiast, film-maker, or a student of film and media, this event should be marked on your calendar. The event proves to be a platform for training in film-making and understanding documentaries better. If you’re a movie buff, you stand to gain a load of practical insight into the medium. Along with the films, there will be also be conversations with the film-makers and other guests.

Why Should I Go For It?

A total of 50 films of a wide selection of genres will be shown at the festival and you can expect to be blown away by every one of them. The festival’s theme, #KeepAskingTheQuestions puts the limelight on discussions, dialogue, conversations and debates triggered by the films.

The festival will also host film-making workshops for students and interested learners in which you’ll get to learn everything about film-making from inception to finished product.

Films like Scratches On Stone, Kalikshetra, Shovana, D’Cruz And Me and many more are set to start thought-provoking dialogues and conversation.

Anything Else?

The event will also feature Oscar-nominated and multiple award-winning I Am Not Your Negro by Raoul Peck as the international feature film.

The event will be broken down into three sections over the week:

Sept 13 -1 4: Documentary Film-Making Workshops

Sept 15 -16: Mini INPUT: a selection of the best films and programmes from the annual Public Service Broadcasters’ Conference. Greece, 2017

Sept 17–19: PSBT Films’ Screenings and Discussions?—?a selection of films produced by PSBT over the last year.
