While Gurgaon has plenty of late-night food delivery options, we’d recommend driving to Old Rao Hotel the next time you and your friends are struck by midnight munchies.
Open All Night, This Dhaba In Gurgaon Wins For Its Dal Makhani & Kulfi

A Heavy Meal That's Light On Your Pocket
It’s become a weekend ritual to ditch the city life for however long we can and just take off – even if it’s just for a night. With so many options, just a 2-3 hour drive away from Gurgaon, could you really blame us? One of the most amazing things about driving on NH-8 out of Gurgaon is a very well-known restaurant {since it’s definitely much more than a local dhaba now} called Old Rao Hotel.
Now, don’t get confused by the many other ‘Rao’ dhabas and restaurants on the way – their website lists out the exact location, along with a ton of reviews and menu options! It’s right next to BML Munjal University and the rows of cars parked outside make it easily identifiable.
Once you get there though, it’s nothing short of a food paradise. The only confusion you’ll face now is between the Dum Aloo or the Kashmiri Dum Aloo – both are amazing and worth a try, trust me! The wait time is barely 10 minutes even though it feels like forever since each and every dish smells mouth-wateringly delicious.
Die{t} Another Day
The food is super fresh and extremely greasy {especially the Dal Makhni… but that’s what makes it amazing!}, so don’t even think about the calories when you’re there! The food is obviously heavy so order carefully, even if you feel like getting everything. The prices are extremely reasonable; a nice, big meal for 2 would be about INR 500.
Over the years, they’ve added a lot of activities and stalls in the complex. It’s still very old school though, you can pick between shooting balloons and throwing hoops. Or ice-cream and Kulfi, depending on your mood.
I haven’t even gotten to the best part yet… It’s open 24×7!
So, We're Saying...
A hidden gem, if ever there was one, we’re glad we chanced upon Old Rao Hotel.
