The culinary scene of Hyderabad seems to be moving slowly to Gurgaon and the newest entrant is Paradise – a name synonymous with Hyderabadi-style biryani that’s hot, spicy and loaded with meat {though they do have options for vegetarians}.

Biryani Be Good

Simple, pristine interiors welcome you at Paradise, and the aroma of biryani hangs thick in the air, fuelling your appetite immediately. When a restaurant is based on one dish, it’s best you gun straight for that. With a choice of 9 biryanis on the menu, there’s actually plenty of choice. They have two signature biryanis, the Single Chicken and Single Mutton where the portion is sufficient for one person but if you want something a little more special then choose the Special Supreme versions and as the name suggests, there’s loads of meat to go around. We loved the Mutton one the most – it’s spicy and full of south Indian flavoured masala.

If you really want to mix it up then try the Special Biryani which is a chicken and lamb combo {the best of both worlds}, served with Mirchi ka Salan and Raita. For vegetarians they have Egg or Vegetable Biryani, both are rich, fragrant and served with sides.

Little Bit Extra

If your group wants a little bit more, then they have a curries and breads menu too. Skip the paneer and try the Dal Fry and Nizami Handi, served dhaba-style. We loved both the Chicken 65 and Paradise Special Mutton {mutton on the bone cooked in a spicy gravy} that are best had with Garlic Naan or Pudina Parantha.

After all that ‘heat’, finish the meal with Qubani ka Meetha and all will be well with the world!

So, We're Saying...

Next time you’re in the mood for Biryani or a spicy Hyderabadi meal, hop on over to Paradise for a taste of the real thing!
