Pho King Awesome isn’t a new kid on the block. Office folks have ordered lunch from their GK-1 kitchen, and have good things to say about their momos and Rendang Curry. This has convinced us to make a trip to their month-old Saidulajab cafe. This, of course, is over and above the fact that the space looks cute as a button.

Go Pho Sure
A slice of Greece in Saidulajab {aesthetically}, Pho King is every bit an Instagram dream – the perfect balance of bare white walls and specks of bright blue. If you know us, you know you’ll find us outdoors but in this case, we’re equally inclined towards sipping our Vietnamese cold coffee inside {those creepers and lamps are so gorgeous}.
At the cost of sounding like wannabe Instagramers, we have a confession: Their dim sums come in cute green, purple and mustard colours that make them as photogenic as the cafe itself. Our trip here is overdue, but we’re eyeing their veg Bangkok Satay and Banh Bao. If you aren’t a fan of Pan Asian, fret not—this new cafe is catering to the typical folks in us as well. Their Jhakaas Indian Platters with kebabs and kathi rolls being the case in point.
Another thing that impresses us is that these Pho King chaps insist on sourcing the freshest ingredients, and even make their dips and sauces in house. The menu is also the result of a lot of chefs pitching in with their recipes and expertise. This explains the strange {but oddly satisfying} selection of cuisines on the menu.
So, We're Saying...
This is an unlikely date spot, and we suggest you make a day of walking around Champa Gali and ending with a hearty meal at Pho King Awesome.
