Pizza Express’s winter menu is out and it’s a beautiful mix of pizza, wings, pastas and soups.
Pizza Express’ Winter Menu Has Us Dropping Everything Else
Shortcut
Start With?
Soup. The mushroom soup is creamier than full cream milk, and this is genuine. Pair it with the bread basket.
The pumpkin soup will downright blow your mind. The taste of coriander and pumpkin go so well together, and the texture is extremely delicate. We’d let the bread basket sit on the side untouched for this one {and actually considered skipping pizza and making this the main meal}.
The Barbecue Chicken wings were better than we’ve had at most places because of the home-made genuine BBQ sauce.
What Pizza Dreams Are Made Of
Normally at your local pizza deli, given your luck, you’d get a piece of bread with a slice of cheese on it. This is not your local deli. We ordered something called the Polo Cajun- adequate amounts of chicken, reasonable amounts of cheese, baked to perfection.
Since we’re having a go at the Winter menu, bring on the pasta too. The Penne Con Cilantro was creamy, nicely textured, but bland. But then that’s just me. My colleague loved it. Depends on your spice preference really.
To end with, we had the Bad Brownie- complete with blueberry and strawberry extracts. When the vanilla and the chocolate get too overwhelming, you’ll thank your stars for this one.
So, We're Saying...
Everything looks beautiful and is plated perfectly, so your OCD will be satiated nicely.
Though we did find it odd, being served ice cream on a Winter Menu, all the tulsi they serve you with the wings will probably keep you away from a cold anyway.
