If you’re a cheese lover, then you need to head to Crawford Market immediately to get your hands on the best. A cosy, no-frills space, Cheesewala is jam-packed with over 45 kinds of imported cheeses. If you're a vinyl collector, head to Royal Music Collection in Fort, a hidden gem offering some of the best records in the city. Owned by Abdul Razzak, the 36-year-old shop specialises in long-play records (33 RPM, 45 RPM, 78 RPM) from various genres, including pop, rock, jazz, Indian classical, and ghazals. You’ll find music from legendary artists like ABBA, Elvis Presley, Jagjit Singh, and The Beatles. Though the store faced challenges with the rise of cassettes and CDs, it has thrived since 2005, thanks to the resurgence of vinyl. You can visit the store any day except Sundays.

Many Many Things

Many Many Things in Versova is exactly what it sounds like, a space full of many, many things you'll instantly want. What started as a design blog has now evolved into a creative studio, prop house, and retail space. The owners, Dhara Jain and Shaira Kapoor, have curated the space with a lot of love. They have second-hand treasures, vintage furniture, some quirky decor, retro signage, design-led objects, souvenirs from their travels and Bollywood shoots, and so much more. You have to visit the space, and I bet you'll spend more time than you think you would.

Established in Mumbai in 1865, this nearly 160-year-old music store is a haven for music lovers across Maharashtra. They have several branches across Mumbai, including Kalbadevi, JVPD Scheme, Borivali, and Powai. They boast an incredible collection of guitars, drum kits, amps, and even sound books! Your search for pianos, keyboards, drums, guitars (acoustic or electric), and other instruments ends here, at this vintage store, which also offers accessories like guitar polish, plectrums, strings, and much more.
