Dresses, cutlery, accessories, lighting... All ticked for the party. Now, leave all food worries behind for Gurugram-based The Trial Box offers a gourmet meal for your guests. The menu has been conceptualised and created by three well-known chefs - Adam Simmonds, Hari Nayak, and Arun Tyagi which is why the quality and the portion size is impeccable.
Log on and browse through the menu and you will find a good choice. There are pizzas, salads, wraps, sandwiches, dim sums, kebabs, grills, pasta, all kinds of fried rice and noodles, and much more.
We went in for an Oriental meal for four. The quality of the crystal dim sums was good. They weren't cold despite the long-distance delivery. The Vietnamese Salad Box was delectable; the chicken was soft, and the peanuts gave it a nice crunch.
Among the starters, I enjoyed the curried baos— melt-in-the-mouth soft and cooked to perfection. Hoi-Sin Dry Chicken is now my favourite dish with drinks. Another favourite is the Japanese vegetable croquettes which were delicious.
For the mains, we dug into tofu and assorted vegetables. They went perfectly with the Sichuan fried rice; the slight chilli sauce blended well with the rice.
Should you be looking for box meals for one or just for a change, then The Trial Box offers those as well. There are all kinds of permutations and combinations available, and you can call and discuss the things you need, besides placing an order online.
It takes 45 minutes for the normal box to be delivered. Gourmet party boxes need at least four hours for preparation. Oh, did we tell you that they provide forks, spoons and paper napkins, and you can carry the boxes around, for they are disposable? The accompanying dips are not a small serving either.
The Trial Box saves you the hassle of finding someone to cook, serve and clean, and cuts down on a lot of costs.
