East Delhi's Latest, Chaiwaale Cafe's Got Popcorn Shakes, Old Monk Cake & A Pretty Outdoor Area

Vivek Vihar’s latest – Chaiwaale Cafe & Patisserie is a quaint little cafe with interesting items on the menu like Caramel Popcorn Shake, Imli Muffins, Old Monk Truffle Cake and more such baked treats. It also has an outdoor seating that’s oh-so pretty and perfect for lazy evenings.

Opened only two months ago, Chaiwaale Cafe & Patisserie is an accidental discovery that has taken us by surprise.

Situated in Kharbanda Complex, Chaiwaale’s outdoor seating area is what drew us to this cafe. With subtle French cafe-esque seating, lots of plants, great music and fairy lights, the owners of this cafe have created an atmosphere we don’t mind spending hours chilling at. While the ambience is great {bonus for the lingering smell of brewed coffee}, it’s the food that’ll keep you coming back for more.

Chaiwaale is a dessert haven full of delish cakes and pies like Butterscotch Cake, Almond & Nougat Cake, Blueberry Cheesecake and they’ve also got a range of eggless bakery items like Coffee Cookies, masala breads, croissants, Almond Biscotti, Berry Danish, all of which are made fresh everyday. Balance the sweet with thin-crust pizzas, Mushroom and Truffle Oil Patties, kathi rolls but it’s the fluffy baos that we hear great things about. You could order one of these baos {Fried Chicken Bao’s a good option} along with a dessert {or two}, wash it all down with their thick and heavenly Caramel Popcorn Shake and you’re guaranteed to have a good, good time.

They also deliver within a 4 km radius, so all you fortunate East Delhi peeps can easily score a weekly supply of baked treats from Chaiwaale Cafe & Patisserie.

Now that winter’s almost here, we certainly look forward to snuggling up at this cafe with a flavourful cup of their Kulhar Chai and a good book or you can drop by for a quiet evening with bae too. Best part –  this cafe won’t burn a hole in your pocket.
