Since Pottery Barn first opened in India in 2022, we have always loved the brand, even if we are not as fond of the steep prices. We understand that fine interior furnishings can be extremely expensive, but perhaps we aren't ready to shell out 8k for a cheese platter just yet.

The most recent gem in their arsenal is their much-talked about collaboration with Deepika Padukone. The collection's a haven for those of us who can't get enough of minimalism for our homes, with a heavy emphasis on modernising traditional prints like ikat and use of white and beige as far as the colour-scheme's concerned. Though there are pieces in this DP-curated collection that you would be tempted to 'add to cart' without giving it much thought, the prices are steeper than their usual collections even. But, as your trusted 'bougie on a budget' friends you can always trust us to have your back, so we found you dupes for some of the pieces below!

Candle Stand

Clovefry Antique Glass Candle Stand for Home Decor

Clovefry Antique Glass Candle Stand for Home Decor

₹850

The pottery barn website describes these candle stands as handblown glass candle holders with 'neutral-chic glass patterns'. By which, we are assuming they mean to say that there's nothing complicated about these, it's just a glass candle stand with a checkered diamanté pattern which can be easily found on Amazon for much cheaper so skip paying INR 3,000 (or INR 1,500 for a single piece). We love the mid-century feel to these candle stands and would definitely grab a few (dupes) to add that old-world charm to our living-room corner.

Napkin Rings

2-Pack Knot-Detail Napkin Rings

2-Pack Knot-Detail Napkin Rings

₹999
These antique-inspired gold accents add that look of rustic minimalism to your table scape and might be a great finishing touch if you are one for getting the tiniest details right. The PB ones are made of steel with an antique gold-plated finish, however, we found a dupe from H&M that features a similar knotted design. The only difference between them being the lack of more knots in the latter but other than that, they solve the same purpose and offer the same aesthetic at a much more doable price.

Chandelier

Vintage Gold And Black Chandelier

Vintage Gold And Black Chandelier

₹38495

This stunning chandelier with its curves and crisp lines combines for a fresh silhouette that works for a casual space or something more modern. We were able to find something similar in black with a solid metal frame and blown glass lamps. We know they don't look identical but it's available at less than one-fourth of the price and also, we are sure you can find someone to commission a similar piece at less than 50k easily. We are fond of such not-so-dramatic chandeliers that are grand, yet minimal so they don't take away all the attention. The concept makes the design feel more airy and open but certainly not budget-friendly if you want to buy from Pottery Barn.

Cane Sausalito

Solid Wood Sausalito Cane Wardrobe

Solid Wood Sausalito Cane Wardrobe

₹159999

This dupe will blow your mind away. It's the exact same wardrobe, the only difference being the wood used for making 'em. While the Pottery Barn sausalito is crafted of kiln-dried solid meranti wood, the dupe is of kiln-dried solid mango wood. Both of them have these beautiful front doors made with cane and have an airy, open feel with roomy shelves and drawers that offer ample storage.

LBB-tip: the dupe's available on 50% off right now so you are getting at on-third of the price of the PB almirah.

Round C-Table

Julia Marble Top Cocktail Table

Julia Marble Top Cocktail Table

₹5832

The shape of this table is really interesting and we love the modernity it exudes with it's unique design. The brass frame lends it that snazzy yet sophisticated touch, making it great for adding to your living room as a cocktail table. The one from Home Centre features a marble top instead of a glass top which we like better for Indian homes since marble is much durable.

Salad Plate

The June Shop Merak Gold Rim Dinner Plate

The June Shop Merak Gold Rim Dinner Plate

₹1599

Truth be told, finding a dupe for the dinnerware was a task. The PB X DP vintage-inspired dinnerware has sculpted details in a modern white palette and we felt this The June Shop Merak Gold Rim Dinner Plate had a somewhat similar aesthetic. We know they don't look similar but again, we don't feel it's a bad option since it looks quite nice on its own. In our opinion, the detailing on the Pottery Barn plates is absolutely whimsical, the faint gold Indian-inspired patterns on the ridge has us sold with its East meets West glam, but our pockets don't allow us to get our hands on them (yet).

Quilt

Maspar Vintage Tranquil Essence Lawn Leaflet 145 GSM Cotton Quilted Beige Double Quilt

Maspar Vintage Tranquil Essence Lawn Leaflet 145 GSM Cotton Quilted Beige Double Quilt

₹11999

The quilt is one of the most desirable pieces from the collab collection and rightly so since it looks stunning with the ikat (probably DP's favourite type of pattern) jacquard weave. It's 100% cotton so it's great for summers and will keep you feeling cool without irritating the skin. The neutral hues create a sense of serenity and calm which we like. Our alternative from Maspar comes in the same colour scheme, however, has a floral leaflet pattern instead of the ikat.

Table Napkins

Encasa Homes Beige & White Ethnic Motifs Printed 6 Pcs Pure Cotton Table Napkins

Encasa Homes Beige & White Ethnic Motifs Printed 6 Pcs Pure Cotton Table Napkins

₹1449

Don't get us wrong but 5k for table napkins (a set of four) feels criminal. Grounded in a neutral pale, these cotton napkins mix a global aesthetic with beautiful threadwork. The soft hues blend effortlessly and do more than justice to the 'quiet luxury' vibe one associates with this collection. Our pick for the dupe from Encasa Homes also features similar ethnic motifs and is a great budget pick for similar feels.
