What Is It?

Ragasthan, the popular desert-camping festival, is back for its third edition. This music, art and culture festival sees artists and travellers from across the world come together for three whole days of chilling in the ever-so stunning Thar Desert, Jaisalmer.

Who Is It For?

If you’re tired of crunching numbers at the office, think that getting out of town and three whole days of the hanging out at the coolest gigs,  with booze and movies under the stars can cure your city-spurned soul like nothing else {and you know it can}, book an early-bird ticket for Ragasthan now.

Pop, rock, world folk, electronic, tech, trance, indie and unplugged sets; this is one festival that’ll have the best artists from across different genres, all at one single place in the wild, vast Thar.

Always wanted to live the free-spirited, hippie life? Ragasthan’s where it can all become a reality.

Why Should I Go For It?

Three stages, more than 50 artists, over a dozen film screenings under the stars and one artists’ village far, far away from the city’s chaos. Need more reasons? Here are a few anyway.

There’ll be a DIY art gallery called the Galiyaro, where all the artists are free to showcase their work and installations. Plus, during the day, apart from attending gigs, you can enjoy ferris-wheel rides and maybe a hot air balloon ride with bae as well. Then, there’s dune-bashing and para-motoring to keep the adventure-loving peeps occupied. For when you want to detox, you can attend the morning yoga sessions {if you manage to get up early enough}, and for when you get hungry, there’ll be numerous restaurants and food trucks in the festival arena where you can load up.

There’s kite-flying, football and volleyball matches lined up too, but if we were you, we’d probably just huddle up with friends in a blanket, share a few flasks of Old Monk and watch a whole lot of movies in the open-air.

Anything Else?

You can bunk with two other friends of yours in the Swiss Tents {either regular or premium ones} that have an attached bathroom, running water and plug points to ensure that you enjoy the most comfortable stay. But, if you’re running short on cash, pitching your own tent in the designated areas with common bathrooms and charging stations seems like a good enough option, not to mention a great experience.

Don’t worry, the line-up will be announced soon, and we’ll definitely keep you posted. Meanwhile, check out their website for more details.
