The Ranthambore National Park opens on October 1 and you should start planning your trip before the tariffs go soaring through the roof. While there isn’t a dearth of beautiful Swiss tent accommodations close by, we’re gushing over Juna Mahal. It’s an eco-friendly boutique property that’s winning for its hospitality and drop dead gorgeous looks.

Grand Daddy Of Luxury

One of the most cherished properties in Sawai Madhopur, visitors love Juna Mahal’s views and lavish buffet. It’s not hard to tell that the place is nothing short of an architectural marvel. It’s out there to spoil you with a massive pool that you can never have enough of and you can sit for hours at length gazing at the Aravallis from your balcony. The little things they do right from asking you how you like your morning coffee to arranging a karaoke on request goes on to say that they care about the little things being in order. Something to be said about old school hospitality here.

The hotel’s built from recycled materials and combines modern day luxuries with traditional, fort-like architecture that lends it the quintessentially royal look. You can choose between the deluxe rooms, suites or villas. They’re all in keeping with the grand nature of things here, elegantly done up, four poster beds, walk-in showers and all. It obviously helps that it’s away from the main town and hence cocooned in a blanket of quiet.

Explore The Mighty Jungle

A little before sunrise or sunset, they offer to organise jungle safaris for groups. We’re assuming since that’s going to be the highlight of your trip, you’d want to leave it to these folks who know the park’s nook and crannies the best. The Gypsy cars and Canters {open buses} can take up to 6-20 people in case you’re travelling with your fam bam. Read more on the tiger reserve’s timings and guidelines here.

If you’re looking for more activities, you can head to Pali Ghat and Surval Lake, both of which look picturesque and oh-so-serene. You can  go boating at the former and bird watching at the latter. Or, there are ancient Ganesh and Bahirav temples that are a drive away.

So, We're Saying...

The Ranthambore Wildlife Safari is an experience in itself and you can make it even better by choosing Juna Mahal.
