What Makes It Awesome?

With most of the shows sold out and new shows added on popular demand, Cirque Du Soleil BAZZAR has been the talk of the town ever since its entry to India was announced.

After a successful run in Mumbai  Cirque du Soleil are now in Delhi at GMR Aerocity. Cirque du Soleil came to Delhi for the first time after entertaining millions across the globe.

We managed to catch the show over the weekend and there was palpable enthusiasm in the entire arena.

The show combined of daring acrobatics, vibrant costumes, live foot-tapping music, drama and comedy under one gigantic roof.

Incidentally, the big tent and the equipment have been brought to India from overseas exclusively for the show. Circus shows are now rare in India. But circuses were an annual ritual in our childhood years and the tent made us nostalgic.

There were various acts like one with a rope, another one with a big ring, jumping jacks on planks, people on bosu balls, live singing and a hat that kept changing its masters.

Incidentally, Bazzar had two Indian performers doing the mallakhamb as one of the acts during the show.

Also, the children seemed to have a great time. We hope that Cirque du Soleil is back again with even more magic to entertain us.

What Could Be Better?

It was an enjoyable evening of course. But it was over even before it started sinking in. The less than two hour show had a half an hour intermission which we think was unreasonable. A few more wow acts would have made the show way more memorable.
