Shang Palace

We recently tried the new menu at Shang Palace, the opulent Cantonese restaurant at Shangri-La Eros New Delhi, and it's safe to say that it ranks first on our list of the best meals we've had in Delhi recently. The Chicken Xia Long Bao and Baked Eggplant Puff have been living rent-free in our minds, and not to start a debate, but we may have discovered a new personal favourite over their famous roast duck—the Cantonese BBQ Platter, which includes Char Siu Chicken, Honey Glazed BBQ Pork and Crispy Pork Belly, all cooked to perfection!

Bhawan

Offering the best of North and South Indian food, Bhawan in Gurgaon boasts great service, good music, and an elaborate menu. What we really love here, though, is the street food. From the usual chaat and samosas to corn bhel and vada pav, there are surprises like bacon kachori and varqi lukhmi — crisp puff pastry patties filled with spicy chicken mince.

Kamei

Truth be told, our friends who have dined at this tastefully swanky Asian restaurant at the Eldeco Center can’t stop talking about it because the food is just that good (according to them), and the vibe of the space makes you feel like you’re dining at a posh restaurant in Dubai. Indy By Qla

Indy is a recent addition to our list of great Indian restaurants in the capital, but one we are excited about and look forward to revisiting for its elevated twist on the cuisine. Also, the biryani here doesn’t disappoint, so definitely consider ordering it when you visit!

Another restaurant we keep hearing about repeatedly, located in the Eldeco Center, is The Mission Bay. Bukhara

An OG, some might say it’s overrated, but we simply love the restaurant for the consistent quality, taste, and nostalgia it serves. Sevilla

Probably one of the most romantic restaurants in the capital, Sevilla is perfect for special occasions or when you want to pamper your SO with a lovely dinner date, though it is quite pricey. Private canopies, ample candles, and dim lighting set the mood for any romance, and they offer one of the best Italian food menus in the capital. FYI, on request, they can go all out to customise the menu, sprinkle rose petals, pop a bottle of champagne, and ensure your meal is a memorable one.

Adrift Kaya

David Myers, the Michelin-starred chef and owner of Adrift Kaya in the JW Marriott Hotel, takes pride in the authenticity his Japanese restaurant offers, and rightfully so. The food menu is impressive, particularly the selection of sushi and sashimi. This isn’t your typical casual sushi restaurant; instead, it’s an izakaya-inspired (which translates to ‘stay-drink-place’ in Japanese) upbeat restaurant-bar where you can grab a drink, settle in, and relax while enjoying gorgeous Japanese food.

Must-Try: Sushi, Fried Chicken Karage, Truffled Mushroom and Tofu Gyoza and Yaki Udon.

Zomato Rating: 4.2/5

Zuru Zuru

Team LBB is borderline obsessed with Zuru Zuru. Don’t be fooled by the small dining space of this cute ramen restaurant in Shahpur Jat, because the flavours they serve are BIG and bold. Their rich broth, hand-pulled noodles, and perfectly soft-boiled egg live rent-free in our dreams. Reservations are a must here since they have limited seating, and they might charge a small advance to block your spot, which will later be adjusted in your bill.

Must-Try: Ramen, donburi
