Faridabad has been surprising us lately with amount of hidden gems it has in store. This time, with the amount of amazing restaurants it has to offer {which won’t burn a hole in your pocket either!}. Here are our top picks:
Grab A Great Budget Meal At Any Of These 8 Places In Faridabad
Open Yard
With an all-wooden decor, lively music, a stone pathway and a cute indoor section, Open Yard is a charming, open-air restaurant which we’d recommend for romantic evenings out. The outdoor section is quite spacious and for food, the chilli paneer, Oriental Style Chicken Noodles and the combo menu is a hit here.
Fiery Grillss
The place is a little tight on space, but they compensate for it with their prompt service and fabulous food. We hear the Chinese menu and the mocktails are popular here. Also, you can expect a welcome drink {read: Jal-jeera}, as well as a post-it wall for you to write your feedback on.
Cafe Parmesan
We’ll admit to having a soft corner for cozy, Italian restaurants with warm lighting, books and vintage decor. And Faridabad has one such pretty place of its own in Sector 15. This one serves delish mix-sauce pasta, shakes and waffles. We’d recommend this one for an impromptu date with bae.
Destination Live
Good food to go with some live matches? We say, visit this small space for all the match screening sessions with your pals, or a solo lunch when you need a breather from all the chaos. Go for their staples like dal makhani, butter chicken and chicken tikka roll.
RP's Standard Punjabi Khana
Sitting in a vintage rickshaw while devouring food with some Punjabi tadka? Things can’t get more desi than this. Although it is veg-only, the place is a must-try for its delicious thaali {which is big enough for two}, momos and Indian desserts like jalebi and kulfi. Also, people with a weakness for paneer are going to love it here.
Haldiram's
Haldirams’s is like that BFF you can always trust blindly to make you feel better – with good food, obviously! This evergreen {quite literally, since it serves veg only} restaurant is always packed with families and couples alike. We love their pav bhaji, raj kachori, chole bhature and chaach. Although, feel free to order anything from the menu – they have a tendency to be good.
More Than Paranthas
If you’re as much of a sucker for paranthas and chur-chur naans as we are, this place should be on your need-to-visit list. But as the name says, you can expect a lot more here. Go for their dal makhani and paneer lababdar, along with a refreshing glass of lassi. It is located inside Crown Plaza mall. So, it’s perfect for satiating that hungry tummy after a tiresome round of shopping.
