A Reverie is a fine-dining restaurant serving molecular gastronomy food that is perfect for most occasions, like a date or even just a relaxed evening. The decor and ambience are top notch, though as it’s open air, it leaves you to the whims of mother nature, so that could be improved up on. The staff is very courteous, and even though there weren’t many guests, everyone was attended well.
The food was quite beautifully presented, and it was as delicious, too. I had wasabi and guac tacos that came in a miniature taco truck, delicious churros with a lip-smacking chocolate dip and Thai Bento rice and noodles.
Our dessert deserves a whole section to itself, as it was one of the most creative dishes on the menu. 'Egg, But Not Egg', as it was called, was made using traditional egg recipes along with mango and coconut as ingredients; simple yet awesome.
In Goa, when one gets bored of the quintessential Goan curries, the palate seeks some change from the mundane. A Reverie breaks the monotony of Goa by breathing a new life into tried-and-tested preparations.
While the use of molecular gastronomy is catching on in big cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, starting something like it in Goa sure requires courage.
