Adding to the spade of cuisines showcased at South Point Mall, the latest is rich and aromatic Awadhi food served at the all new restaurant, Karavaan. By keeping the ambience bright and minimal, the focus is on the food – so come prepared with an appetite.
Kebabs, Dal Makhani & Qorma, Authentic Awadhi Food Is On The Menu At Karavaan
Shortcut
The Spice Trail
Don’t let the pristine off-white and rust interiors sway you, Karavaan is anything but simple. The flavour palate here is complex, rich and authentic as can be. With a team of chefs sourced from the finest Awadhi kitchens, the menu brings forth a large selection of dishes. The starters are a combination of the usual and the unique – from Paneer Tikka to Sikhampur Kebab [a type of seekh you just have to try}. Things get interesting with dishes like Mukundwadi ke Tikke and the delicious Jhinga Firdaus but if you’re with a group, we suggest you choose the veg or non-veg platters as samplers of the Tandoori starter menu.
Curries On A Roll
Even when it comes to the main course, you could always indulge in the familiar Paneer Makhni, Kadhai Paneer and Chicken Qorma but we suggest you try the real stars at Karavaan. We loved the Subz Miloni, Nalli Qorma, Mahe Kaliya and their stellar Makhni Dal {they call it Dal Karavaan} for a wave of old Delhi-inspired nostalgia right here on Golf Course Road!
If you’re in a rush, you can always pop in for a quick bite; their kebabs also come as rolls and the best one has got to be the Reshmi Kebab Roll. They also have combos that are good for executive meals, which are essentially most of the main course dishes paired with Indian breads and raita.
So, We're Saying...
You don’t have to go too far for a taste of Dilli 6, the menu at Karavaan is an ode to one of Delhi’s oldest and finest cuisines and they’re open all day.
