One of the best and most recognisable rom com movies on Netflix, Notting Hill lives in our hearts and minds rent free. The plot revolves around William, played by Hugh Grant, a British bookseller who meets and falls head over heels for a high-profile American actress Anna, played by Julia Roberts. But, of course, things get complicated with their social status coming in the way. This movie is beyond wholesome, makes you cry and leaves you with a tinge of hope that everything is possible. And has given us some iconic dialogues that fills are hopeless romantic heart.

This is undeniably one of the best rom coms on Netflix. The movie is fun, charming and follows the classic romcom tropes, which we love and keep going back for.

The story is engaging, with great actors, and up there with the best of the best romantic comedies. Bonus: Jude Law being the perfect example of men written by women, absolutely dazzling in amazing cardigans.

One of our favourite movies of all time, 10 Things I Hate About You is a classic high-school romance movie starring Julia Stiles and the late Heath Ledger. The story revolves around a high schooler Cameron, who is not allowed to date till her reclusive elder sister Kat has a boyfriend. She takes matters into her own hands by paying a mysterious boy Patrick to woo her elder sister. Will this Sylvia Plath-loving high schooler fall for her sister's love trap or is she smarter than that?

When Meg Ryan said, "What I really don't want, is end up wondering what might have happened knowing I could've done something", turned something inside us and shall forever remain etched in our memory.

This 'cool' wish of hers actually gets granted but, like most rom-coms set against the background of setting on a quest for realising one's true self, she gets to feel the hollowness of the grown ups' world. Amidst of all this chaos, Jenna finds herself falling for Mark Ruffalo's character, Matt and gives us one the cutest rom-com scenes with their 'Arrivederci' and 'Au revoir' banter.

The internet is kinda split on whether 'Clueless' is a rom-com or a teen film with a dash of rom-com but for us, it just hits the right spot on days when cutesy rom coms doesn't fit the memo. Cher is well, Cher, the it girl with a heart of gold finding her grip in the real world which isn't as dreamy as her rose-tinted glasses suggested to her match-making eyes. While going through the ups and downs of her high school life, she finds love in Josh,

The story, casting, chemistry, and moments of humour make it a great watch for when you want to unwind with something not so cheesy.
