What Makes It Awesome

Often overshadowed by the gorgeous Cafe Tesu and the party vibes of Yes Minister is the stunning Rustique Bakery. They’ve got a live wood-fired oven that does light pizzas, a bakery with treats baked in-house and the prettiest of outdoor seating areas we’ve seen in a while.

Rustique Bakery has been around for quite some time and we’re slightly guilty of not having been here any sooner.

One of the things that we were particularly impressed by at this bakery is its lovely garden area. With lots of greenery and lights all around, Rustique looks pretty as a picture (especially at night). We know it’s not exactly the best weather for the outdoors, but they’ve got plenty of fans to help you brave the summer heat. However, if you’re dropping by during the day, we recommend that you grab a spot indoors. The shelves full of biscuits, macaroons and breads are inviting enough to make you want to sit inside too. The dessert counter is rife with cheesecakes and tarts, more so.

Rustique is not one of those places with just a pretty ambience. In our books, it’s also a winner for their light-as-a-feather thin-crust Chicken Tikka Pizza and the cheesy Ham Pasta loaded with ham chunks and panko crumbs. By the end of our meal, we were so full (of happiness and food) that desserts just seemed out of the question. But learn from our experience, and be sure to leave some room for their Classic Cheesecake (we hear it’s called classic for a reason). The cheesecakes are priced at INR 155 which is pretty decent. You can also get their delectable dessert jars for INR 390.

Pro-Tip

Rustique's menu is not just limited to baked goods and savoury treats. They also serve alcoholic beverages. Wine and cheesecake, anyone?
