With things slowly opening up, and safe social distance meetings happing, or dress-up and attend Saturday Night parties on Zoom are gathering steam, we're thrilled to see that Sandra Mansour has collaborated with H&M for a stellar collection. If you know Sandra Mansour's designs, you'll know florals, pastels, earthy tones and feminine silhouettes are part of them all. Bringing that exact style to the H&M collaboration, ladies, you will want to stock up on these!
Inspired by nature, and everything natural, the range is feminine and empowering, and accurately named “Fleur du Soleil” after the designer became fascinated by how a sunflower follows the sun from day to night. Dreamy, daring and delightful, the muted palette meets edgy ruffles in this collection that will be available online and offline, August 27 onwards. If you. know art and artists, then you will see inspiration from the works of female artists such as Toyen, Dorothea Tanning, Lena Leclercq and Bibi Zogbé. I love it for the sheer empowerment of women, and how Sandra has weaved in little elements to show that strength of femininity. Pick up dresses, blouses and skirts, that will look fitted, but end up flared, or a sleek cut with flouncy ends. My favourite of the lot is the short dress in lace with a skirt and details in jacquard-patterned tulle. Asymmetric seam at the waist and skirt in a double layer of tulle, it's really funky!
All in all, if you're looking for drama and stellar design, head over to H&M soon!
