I've been on a major room makeover spree and the perfect accessory to add to your bed, chair or couch is cushions. While I'm all for brights and prints, I prefer to balance it with some neutrals with a hint of color, a different texture or a distinct embroidery. I came across the Sarita Handa store in Khan Market and its become my one-stop shop for all things pastel, classic and rustic.

Their cushions are decorated with appliqué and embroideries. Also inspired by antique water colors of the 1850's from the French Textile museum, you'll find celtic knots and even hints of Moulin Rouge in the designs! They also keep stunning bedding and fabrics with the same aesthetic. Have a look at some of my picks:

{ I'm a sucker for pastels, and these mellow pinks, yellows, blues & khaki's are splendid for summer }

{ The embroidery and work on their cushions is just exquisite. And they're machine washable!! }

{ Sarita Handa also has a lovely collection of fabrics which you can use for upholstery. I bought this fabric for a pin-up board for my room }

{ Ikat print! I bought the blue & white cushion in a combination of amber+white. And it goes really well with the whole rustic theme I have going on for my room }

{ The pink pastel cushion is one of my favorites! It comes in a lovely yellow as well. }
