What Makes It Awesome

I have two makeup looks - full glam and “I-only-had-4-minutes-to-get-ready” glam and, I’ll be honest, the latter is me almost everyday. I can’t deal with the hassle of liquid foundation, then setting it with powder or proper eye makeup when I’m already late so Sery Cosmetics was a huge life (and time) saver. Their products, all available online, are super convenient and pretty much one and done cosmetics like stick foundations and eye shadows, cream blushes and lip tints that you can apple on the go.

The stick foundation blends pretty easily, no need for a brush or beauty blender, you can manage with your fingers. It gives a pretty natural glowy look which I liked. I love the heavy blush look for a sunkissed, rosy appearance and the shade Coral Cat was bright enough for me to achieve the look. If you don’t like to be as extra as I do with blush, you’ll like the subtle “Peony Pearl” shade a lot more.  I didn’t try the highlighter but it seems it’d work for a natural glow over glittery powder highlights.

Moving on from the base, they have a ton of lipstick shades. No, seriously, I counted 34. They have lip tints, matte lipsticks and cream-finish lipsticks in pinks, reds and even deep purples. I liked the formula of the matte lipstick and the ease of it, too, my favourite shade being “Romantic Red” which I can layer up for a bold lip or put on a single wash for some subtle colour. The eyeshadow sticks come in some not-so-wearable shades like bright blues and greens but they’d work pretty well as a cream base for more elaborate looks.

Price: INR 599 for the foundation stick, INR 649 for the blusher stick, INR 549 for the matte lipstick, INR 499 for the shadow stick

What Could Be Better

The foundation shade range is too limited with only 3 shades, here’s hoping they make it more inclusive for darker skin tones.

Pro-Tip

Eyeshadow sticks still too much of a hassle? I feel you. For an easy smokey eye, you can use their Kajal (INR 249) and smudge it close to your upper lash line for a smokey wing effect.
