You may now retire your speedo onesie {men, you should have done so a while ago}, sport wear store bought swimsuits, and customs-charged ASOS swimwear; head to swimwear specialists Shivan & Narresh’s brand new swim boutique instead. India’s first, and perhaps only luxe swimwear brand was first launched in Cannes {not on the red carpet}, presenting its 100% stitch free swim line. They steadily became the first mainstream duo of beachwear designers, doing handcrafted and stich-free surfaced beach wear, along with ready-to-swim wear {made in Italian fabrics}, a pret line, and ‘made to measure’ swimsuit services. Women, rejoice! You can now also retire camel toes and swimsuit wedgies.
Their spanking new swimwear boutique, now open for business, is designed to look like the bottom of a swimming pool, complete with geometric patina mantles, water faucets, mannequins frozen mid-dive and suspended from the ceilings, Italian mosaic tiles, and ‘No-Diving’ signs. Only thing missing - beefy lifeguards. But, resuscitating us from the lack of swimwear instead are their holiday and beach essentials, including their entire swimwear line and swim accessories. Shop from swimwear classics, available in shades of flossy pinks and flamingo oranges, and complete the look with resort separates like wrap around skirts, tube tops, trousers, and breathable shirts. Choose from one pieces, bikinis and trikinis, and finish the resort look with one of the statement necklaces {we're not entirely sure these are waterproof}. Props to their packaging; we’re crushing on their honeymoon boxes, comprising a swimsuit, a wrap around skirt and a pair of flip-flops. They allow you to personalise the contents, perfect for when you're in the mood for some generous gifting.
Fresh on the shelves of their new swim boutique is the line of flip-flops they've designed specially for Havaianas. Choose from 6 different styles, ranging from signature prints to solid block colours. These twosomes sell out very easily, so we suggest you make a swim for them.
Also available shortly will be their menswear line, featuring silk beach shorts, swimming trunks, bermudas, and linen shirts, in their signature structured and colour blocked styles.
Although uber luxe and easy on the eyes, their line of swimwear is most suited for beach holidayers, pool parties and summer brunches, not for serious swimmers. That said, they're filling the swimwear gap in the market, and our suggestion is to dive in the deep end.
