Currently being called the "colour of the season", Valentino Pink has made a splash on runways and the red carpet this year. The likes of Ariana Grande, Masoom Minawala, Zendaya, Gigi Hadid, Zendaya, and Aishwarya Rai have sported the vibrant, almost eye hurting (in a good way) shade. Pretty much the only shade of Pierpaolo Piccioli's the AW '22 collection for Valentino, we think this is the perfect shade for Spring-Summer looks too! The actual collection featured men and women because the idea was the subvert the idea that "pink is for girls".
Power suits, capes, gowns, micro bags, and chunky heels that remind us of our early 2000s Barbie fashion accessories all come in the shade. It's been added to Pantone's official range (named Pink PP), and while the rest of the world (and brands) catch up to design options in the shade, we have our own version of the hot pink - Mithai Pink aka Hot Pink. A popular choice for Indian wear and accessories, it complements yellows, gold, purple, orange, and lime green well. It's okay if you don't want to dive into an all-pink look yet, here's a list of products you can shop if you want to know if hot/bright pink is a fashion choice you want to sport yet.
