#ShopMyShelf: Products With Active Ingredients In Nivrity Das' Vanity
Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic Acid is a magic ingredient when it comes to hydration. It binds with water to retain and replenish moisture, boost skin regeneration, making the skin supple. The one I use is TonyMoly’s Vital Vita 12 Ampoule.
Retinol
Retinol is a great anti-ageing ingredient that improves cell turnover, revitalising dull and tired skin. It is also known to reduce acne breakouts, however, dermatologist inputs are recommended before adding it to your routine especially if you have sensitive skin. The Retinol product that worked wonders for me is Murad Youth Renewal Serum.
Glycolic Acid
Glycolic Acid is the most common form of AHA and a great low-stakes anti-ageing active ingredient to add to your routine. It helps reduce hyperpigmentation, and is a great exfoliating agent as well. My favourite product featuring the ingredient is the cult-favourite Pixi Glow Tonic.
AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid)
Mario Badescu’s AHA Botanical Body Soap is really good for the skin because it smoothens out all ingrown hair and bumps, making it feel fresh.
