Mandala Art Workshop At Indian Artizans

What's Happening?

When was the last time you learnt something for the first time? This is one thought that makes us seek out more. Seek knowledge. Seek new learning.

Indian Artizans-Handcrafted Stories brings to you in its series of Indian art, craft and weaving workshops, the Mandala Art workshop. Mandala goes back to the Buddhism era. In Buddhism, Mandalas represent the ideal form of the universe and is a symbol of wholeness. The basic pattern of creation always includes a circle with a geometric design.

Some of the basic benefits of mandala is that it helps with balance, and brings peace, tranquility, and calmness. Drawing mandalas is almost meditative. It helps improve mindfulness, concentration, and lets your creativity juices flow.

What's a better way than to begin the New Year learning this beautiful dotted art. Not only will Rajashree, ace artist from Curiocity share and teach you the basics of the art form, but will also help you create your own mandala tote bag that you can take home! Learn about mixing colours, shading, and how to paint with fabric colours as well as all the tricks of painting on fabric so you can later try it on your own too.

How’s the venue?

Join us at Indian Artizans Experience Centre at 6A, Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi on Saturday, 4th of Jan'20, from 11 am to 1.30 pm for an exclusive learning experience.

Nestled in the quaint urban village of Hauz Khas (which has a history dating to the medieval era), you can find at Indian Artizans-a mini India. Handloom, handmade, handcrafted, and handpicked products from across the country is the USP of this shop. Saris in weaves like the Kanjeevaram, Banarasi, Chanderi, Pat Silk, South Cottons, Pochampally's, Paithinis and the exquisite Patolas are a treat for handloom lovers. Stoles, dupattas and the present freshly woven shawls that come straight from the weavers is the talking point of the shop.

The regular Indian art and craft workshops held at the store is a conscious and regular activity to bridge the gap between our rich heritage and the cosmopolitan janta pining to learn the art forms.

The Hauz Khas Village itself is worth a weekend visit along with attending the workshop what with the village still retaining its old world charm along with an enhanced aesthetic appeal through the well-maintained green parks all around with walkways, and the urbane refurbished upmarket and quirky places of interest that have spruced up the old Mughal surviving structures. You just might want to finish the workshop weekend with grub at one of the pubs in the same lane or step into the Hauz Khas Village Fort to bask in the winter sun.
