There’s enough bad news that makes it to our Facebook feeds and newspapers, so stories of positive impact tend to grab our attention – one such story comes from Gurgaon. If you needed proof that Gurgaonwallahs are all heart {they’ve even installed the city’s first community fridge!}, here’s what they did after a photograph of a traffic police officer, drenched in rain and barefoot but still soldiering on at Jharsa, was posted on Hindustan Times’ Twitter account.

The residents of White Tulip society in Sector 69 have volunteered to arrange rainy day essentials – such as raincoats and gumboots, for the team at the Badshahpur police station. A drive to acknowledge the work of Gurgaon’s traffic police, this was completely citizen-led and is a wonderful gesture.

What would be awesome, however, is to make this a pan-Gurgaon drive – can you make it happen?
