What Makes It Awesome

Silver Linings is taking the lead in the category of sustainable cafes in Bir and it’s definitely worth a trip to the mountains!

With a name that reeks positivity, Silver Linings is one of the first ever eateries that was started in the small town of Bir. It;'s a tiny mud cottage structure located amidst the greenery, close to the landing site. Silver is a place for those who cherish the quite life of the hills. Order some coffee, take a bite of the brownie, and read a book – that’s exactly the vibe of this cutesy café.

Breakfast is a major hit here with a variety of eggs on the menu along with pancakes. Apart from the familiar coffee names, you can opt for their homemade iced tea which is what the inhabitants of Bir make a beeline for.

Head there early to not miss out on the Banofee Pie. It gets sold out in no time and once you take a bite of this heavenly dessert, you’ll know why!

A garden area outside lets you relax during the summer season while the outer seating area is perfect for groups to hang out at. If you have deadlines to meet, sit inside where literally no one will bother you.

The best part? It’s an eco-friendly café with a no plastic use policy. In fact, the wall outside is made up of plastic bottles to lead by example.

You can also buy shawls or postcards sold by local artisans here at the café.

What Could Be Better

The café shuts at 7pm which is a bummer because we just can’t get enough of it!

Pro Tip
